Beauty Vixen

That time has come again where the Lisa Cosmetics Warehouse Sale happens. Yippee,  this sale makes me so happy. I love to look at all the discounted makeup and perfume products, and even a few products you wouldn't think of buying at a sale like this.

$1 Items:
FlossBox:
I got these last year for Mr. Fox and he really like it. It is a small flat way to carry floss with you. for 99 cents I can't complain.

Annabelle Eye Makeup Remover Wipes:
I got these because I wanted to really try their De-Puffing and Lash Care version and a 25 count mini is a great deal for a buck.

Pumi Bar:
Who doesn't need a pumice bar? I don't think I need to say any more.
Other Stuff:
Rub A535 Ice Spray:
For $4.99 I though we should try this. I am going through some pretty crazy physiotherapy right now and my body is killing me. I think I am just falling apart.

X3 Hand Sanitizer Spray:
These are a favourite of mine and my families now. I give them to everyone when they travel. They cost $3.49 for 3 sprays. Ready my full review on them here.

Jucy Bamboo Wipes:
I always need face wipes, these were $2.99 so I thought I would try them out.
Stila:
While there still is plenty of the Stila products I got in the past there (check out my past blogs on the Lisa Sale) and other brands like Anna Sui, Elizabeth Arden, Marcelle and Annabelle there, I just don't need much more products and only got two Stila Palettes.

I got the Sprit and Mind last time I went so this time I just got the two I was missing.
Eyes Are the Window Eye Shadow Palette: Body.
This is a very pretty palette filled with pretty purples and blues. So pretty.
Eyes Are The Window Eye Shadow Palette: Soul
This is a incridibly gorgeous neutral palette with some insanely pretty shades and textures in it. It was also $24.99.
Finally we skipped the Quality Street and Cadbury and went just for some Turtles this time. This big tin was $4.99. Mmmmmm Turtles.
Ok so that is everything I got at the sale. Be sure to check out my pasts posts here.

Have you ever been to the Lisa Sale? Did you fall in love with anything?

Once again I went to the Lisa's Warehouse Sale. They moved earlier this year and the new location is just so much nicer.

I tried to be good (like always) and not go crazy, but I still managed to do a bit of damage to my wallet.
First off there were lots of Stila products once again at the sale.  I decided not to get their older palettes that were $16.99 (they had the 'in the know' and the 'in the moment' palettes) and went for the newer 'Eyes are The Windows" palettes in Spirit and Mind for $22.99. Spirit is a shimmery and slightly frosty palette, while Mind is all matte. They both feature some pretty shades, some of which are in Stila's regular eyeshadow collection.
I didn't see too much in the nail polish department to spark my interest, but there was China Glaze, Sally Hansen and OPI there. I picked up for 99 cents a clear SH polish and for $2.99 a China Glaze in Pink Chiffon and a Ceramic Glaze in Hong Kong Diva. I love how the Ceramic Glaze is so festive.
I got some staples too, a Pumi Bar for 99 cents and a Scottish fine Soap Lemon Soap bar in a tin for $2.99 (I love it for cleaning my brushes).
I caved and got another Marc Jacobs' perfume, this time in Honey. I love Dot still the most and regret not getting a bigger one last time, but since Honey isn't as much a must have for me the 50ml for $49 seemed like a better idea then the 100ml for $65. I'm also glad that Honey has a much smaller lid, Dot's is insanely huge.
I got lost of X3 hand sanitizer. I love this stuff this time of year, alcohol free, it sprays and purse friendly sized. It was $3.49 for a 3 pack.
Finally I caved and got some Almay eye makeup remover wipes and Andrea Eye corrector, they are little q-tips already in remover. They were $2.99 each.
So I didn't do too bad this time I think. Do you have anything on your list for the Lisa's Warehouse Sale?

It's been a very long time  since I last went to a Estee Lauder Warehouse sale (aka the Mac Warehouse Sale). I went yesterday and did a little bit of damage, but got lots of goodies.

First off since the last time I went there seems to now be Smashbox there, I saw other people (Kelly fro GlitterDiarries.ca for example) got some pretty good Smashbox goodies. I also saw other people got Origins, which I was looking for but just couldn't find. Since I went on the Sunday the selection was more limited.

Enough with that, on to what I bought.

$12 - Clinique cheek Pop in 02 Peach Pop:

Oh yeah I love blush and I've wanted the Clinique Cheek Pops since they launched, so glad I got this at such a good price.

$4 Section:
Mac Softpoint sponge Applicator
Mac Eyeshadow Pans in - Kelly, Carefree and Indian Ink
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Sample
Mac Lip Liner in Vino
Mac Eyeliner in Coffee
The $4 section had some Bobbie Brown Foundations but only in Sand, so I stuck with what I knew I would like.

$12 - Estee Lauder Little Black Primer.
I almost went out and got this in the store, but I am sure glad I didn't, $12 is a great price and it is a new release item.

$25 -Mac KeepSake/ Smokey Face Palette:
This is from the holiday collection. I really wanted it back then but couldn't bring myself to spend full price on it. So glad I got this.
$40 - Buy on get one free
Mac 179 Body Buffing Brush
Mac Duo Fibre Travel Brush Set
Duo Fibre brushes and a body brush for $40, I'm sold.

$25 - Clinique Grandest Greens Eye Chubby Stick Set
I love the idea of the Chubby Sticks for my eyes.
Charity bag and free gift:
The free gift was two gift bags that are flat (they are actually the background for all the photos in this post).
The Charity bags were Prep + Prime Cc Powder in Neutralizing and two nail polishes. I got 4 of Riot Gear, 2 of Impassioned and 2 of Flaming rose.

So that is it, my haul from the sale. I think I did pretty well and kept on a budget. I regret nothing, so that is good.

That time of year is here again, its the Lisa's Cosmetics sale! The annual winter warehouse sale is on now and I've already gone and hauled.

This time around there was lot more Stila. The last two time I went Stila was becoming a more prominent brand at the sale, but this time they even had non discontinued items. One of the items that caught my eye was the BB Illuminating cream that I have a small one of. I passed on getting it for $19.99 (of $21.99 I cannot remember) and then saw it at Sephora for $50.
Below are some photos of the tables.
Like always Annabelle and Marcelle were there as well as Elizabeth Arden and Anna Sui. None of the items quite caught my eye from those tables so all I got makeup wise was some Stila.

My haul:
I finally took advantage of the amazing steals on perfume and got myself a 50ml bottle of  Marc Jacobs Dot. It retails for $85 at Sephora and I got it for $55. I really should have gotten the 100 ml for $75.
I picked up two Stila convertable colours, one in Poppy and one in Fushia. They were $11.99 each
I got one Stila Smudge Crayon in Pink-Violet for $12.99.
A Colour Balm Lipstick in Evangeline a dusty rose shade it was $11.99.
A Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Aria which is a magenta plum colour I believe $10.99.
I also grabbed two Revlon lipglosses in Embellished (from last years Gucci Westman holiday collection, it got rave reviews from everyone, even an A+ from Temptalia, see my review here) for $2.99.
I got two Revlon mini tweezer sets (a case, a slanted and a pointed tweezer are in it) with penguins on it for $2.99 each. I got some of these last time and love them (LOVE them).
Finally I got one more pair of slanted Revlon Tweezers for $2.99.

On the non makeup front I got 6 bars of Cadbury chocolate. This is the UK version so people go nuts for it. 4  are for a coworker and 1 my mother in-law. They are gigantic and only $3.99.

I picked up a few other gifts for people, great perfume sets and Stila items, but since they are not for me I'm not going to show them (you know so they don't see it).

This past Monday I took some time to go to the Lisa's Costmetics Warehouse Sale. This sale is a big favourite of mine, held twice a year in the spring and in the winter, I often find some great deals and amazing gifts at very amazing prices.

This was my fourth time at the sale and probably the first time I got my self absolutely no makeup whatsoever. I purchased perfumes for others, smashbox sets for a friend, nivea for mothers day and chocolates for others too. In fact the only thing I got myself was 3 magnetic polishes, tweezers, 3 sets of lashes, a chocolate bar and a tin of cookies.

There were still amazing Smashbox sets from sales back, but nothing new, so nothing struck my eye. Lots of great Annabelle products, but  I had all the liners I wanted. Really I am shocked I got myself nothing. I even said heck, I am getting a perfume, something big for myself (at a cheap price), but nothing struck my fancy. I feel kinda strange about this situation, have I finally reached my makeup limit?

Any way this what I got

3 Tivoli magnetic polishes ($2.99 each)
3 Tivoli lashes ($1.49 each)
2 Cadbury tins of cookies ($9.99 each, one is for my mother in law)
1 Cadbury chocolate bar 230 g ($4.99)
1 tweezers ($)
1 L'eau D'issey Gift Set -1 x 50ml Eau De Toilette Spray, 1 x 100ml body lotion (not going to say price since it was a gift, but a REALLY good price)
1 Nina by Nina Ricci 50 ml ($40.00 picked up for a friend)
1 Smashbox Beauty Bliss Collection ($25.99 picked up for a friend)
1 Nivea 400 g ($6.99, gift)
1 Lysol wipes ($1.99)

Overall I still think it is a great place to grab a mother's day or father's day gift, or heck any gift. If there were new Smasbox set I would have probably grabbed at least one. I still believe the sets are a great deal, the mini primers are worth the $25.99 alone, none the less all the other great stuff inside.
Perfume seems be the the star of the show, and as well it should be, most are over 50% off and a great deal with a huge selection. My mother picked up her husbands favourite cologne, for half of what she paid for just a bottle at Christmas she got a four piece set! Annabelle lipsticks were $1.99 so she got a few of those too.

There is really nothing bad to say about this place.
Go early and expect a line. Well worth the trip.
