Guerlain Meteorites are hands down one of the most iconic items I happen to have in my collection. 2017 marks a milestone for this legendary product, it turns 30. In honour of Guerlain Meteorites 30th there is a limited edition of the beautiful pearls out, Happy Glow Meteorites.
Housed in a beautiful white sphere that has a pink luminescence to it making it look like a pearl, Happy Glow has a unique blend of colours in it.  Still scented with the iconic Violet scent that I consider intoxicating, these pearls are glowy indeed. It features mauve and pink pearls, tiny little bronze pearls and larger champagne coloured pearls. It overall has a more shimmery look then the permanent line but less then the holiday ones.. All of which makes it a unique blend suiting of a 30th birthday.

This beautiful baby will join my collection that already features two holiday limited editions (2015 and 2016) and 01 Blanc de Perle and a custom blend I got made at their 30th anniversary party. As well as my Meteorites Base, a beautiful primer that features pink pearls suspended in a clear primer base.

Before I leave you, here are some facts that I find interesting about Meteorites
  • They are hand made in France with a very specific formulation, only 4 people handcraft them.
  • Each batch and formula has a specific amount of each shade in it (meaning every batch you get will be exactly the same, no wondering if one batch has more or less of a shade in it).
  • Each container is hand filled for accuracy and care.
So there you go a bit of a run down of Meteorites and a look a why I love them so much.

Vichy just relaunched their foundation products, I was lucky enough to get my hands on their new Teint Ideal Cream Foundation and Teint Ideal Highlighter and am going to share what I think them with you today.

TEINT IDÉAL CREAM FOUNDATION:
Vichy's Teint Ideal Cream Foundation is available in 5 shades, this foundation has a light to medium coverage to it. Formulated for dry skin, it contains hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C & E and Vichy's Thermal Water to help hydrate the skin for up to 14 hours. Its finish is velvety, which is also perfect for dryer skin types.
Since my skin is dry / dehydrated this seemed like the best foundation for me in the new Vichy line. It gives my skin the extra hydration it needs while making it feel fantastic. My skin feels soft and dewy after applying it, plus the feeling lasts quite a while after, unlike other cream foundations.
When it comes to coverage, Teint Ideal Cream is light to medium, which to be honest is what you should expect from a more hydrating and skin care focused foundation. That being said I find it quite buildable. I just use my Real Techniques Sponge to apply a layer of foundation and blend it out, let it settle for a few seconds and reapply just where I need some more coverage and I consider myself done in the coverage department. I have been also known to apply it just with my fingers, either way I am always really happy with both how it feels and looks on my skin. No dry patches here, just nice even skin.

TEINT IDÉAL HIGHLIGHTER:
This little roll-on highlighter is absolutely stunning. I am in awe of how pretty it is to be honest.

You can roll this on bare skin or over your foundation when you want to illuminate you skin. I like to roll it over my skin and then just lightly blend it out by tapping my finger across it. If I wanted to make it less bold I tend to take a sponge to it when blending. Either way I love it.
I find the illuminators in it are so fine that you never see shimmer, just a wonderful glowy finish. I find it easy to blend and simply stunning.

Have you tried any items from the new Vichy Teint Ideal line yet? What do you think of them?

Spring brings many new items to some of my favourite beauty brands; today I take a look at some new items from Hard Candy that I recently picked up.
Candle lit
First up is the new Just Glow! Baked Illuminating Duo. This set has two options, Candle Lit and Twinkle Star. I picked up the Candle Lit set, which has a glow to it versus the gritty shimmer of the Twinkle Star set. Both the colours in Candle Lit are great illuminators, but not shimmery ones, more luminescent ones, similar to HourGlass' Ambient Light. The one is more a pink iridescent while the other is more neutral.
Highlight and Contour Duo on the left and Just Glow on the right.
Next up is the  highlight and Contour Face Duo Stick. I picked mine up in the shade Light, but there are at least 2 other shades out there. It comes in the exact same packaging as the Glamoflauge Lite, which made me immediately want to get one. I am a big fan of the creaminess of the Glamofaluge lite so I thought this would be similar. While it is creamy and soft like the congealer stick, it is also crazy pigmented, so a little goes a long way.  I personally feel this one, despite being the light shade, is way too dark for me.  I also learned they make a strobe stick that is in the same type of packaging, that is definitely going on my list for the next time I go to a Walmart.
Moving on to some pretty lip stuff, I had to get their new Velvet Mousse Matte Lip Colour. The first store I went to only had two shades left, so I picked up the shade Hibiscus, a bold coral shade that some of kind of light on your lips despite its pigmentation.
My second attempt to get some I managed to pick up Wisteria, a deep and dark purple shade.
These come in tins, which is super cute, but they also have a gigantic mirror on the lid, which kind of is really practical when you're not at home. The doe foot is relatively long but narrow and holds lots of the product. The thing is, you don't need lots of product.

The first time I applied Wisteria I just spread it on my lips like any other lip gloss, but I had to take it all off. It is too rich and too darkly pigmented to actually do that with, I needed a lighter way of applying it. I needed up taking a lip brush and putting the smallest dab onto it and spreading it around, creating more of a stain. Below you can see a full swatching, plus a demo of how little is needed to stain up a large area.
Hibiscus, while just as pigmented is a creamier shade, so it I could pull off without staining, but personally like the look of the stain more since it seemed to settle into the lines of my lips a bit.

Any way you work it I think these Lip Colours are worth trying. I really like both shades on me, but use them more sparingly. They dry up on the lips a bit, but not like a liquid lipstick where it dries to a budge proof finish, but defiantly enough that you don't notice you're wearing a lip product anymore.

Here is a tip, you can pop out the little velvet holder thing and put any eyeshadow with a magnetic bottom into it for travel (here is an Altoid example).
Overall, I am liking my new products, they all seem to be really great for their prices and a right on trend for Spring 2016. I would definitely buy a new more items when I see them in the store.

Have you seen some of the new Hard Candy items in your Walmart yet? Have you tried any of them out?

Vichy Idealia
It's no lie that I am already in love with Vichy's Idealia Serum', but now I have two new items in the Ideal family to also fall head over heals for. Their BB Cream and Eye Contour are just what my stressed out skin needs to get it looking a feeling its best with minimal effort.

So lets take a better look at each product.
Vichy Idealia Eye Contour and BB
Idéalia BB Cream
1 formula, 6 actions, to transform the skin complexion and quality of all skins, even sensitive: illuminates and evens the complexion, hydrates 24hr, visibly smoothes fine lines, refines skin texture, reduces dark spots, and protects. For all women, regardless of their age, skin type or complexion. The only Vichy BB Cream that reveals an ideal complexion and skin quality, instantly and day after day. -vichy.ca
INNOVATION: EXCLUSIVE ANTI-GREY TECHNOLOGY
ANTI-GREY ON SURFACE:
Formulated with mother of pearl and corrective pigments to instantly eliminate the grey tone and reveal your ideal skin complexion.
ANTI-GREY IN DEPTH:
Enriched with Kombucha, our first clarity-boosting active ingredient which reduces grey tone at every layer of the skin. Day after day, it helps illuminate the skin from within.
This BB cream comes in two shads, light and medium. Loaded with ingredients that not just help your skin look good right away, but also help it long term look and feel better. Which lets face it, is what we all want in a BB cream, isn't it?

I started using the light version a few months ago and quickly fell in love. Not only does it leave my skin hydrated but it looked fantastic. I find with most BB creams they can be too heavy in the moisturizer side and can cause me to feel like I am wearing  a mask, but not Idealia's it leaves me feeling just right and with a decent enough coverage. It isn't full coverage by any means, but the perfect BB coverage (for me anyways).

The best part seems to be that it gets better the more I use it, my skin has looked far less dull this winter and much more glowy. Plus my darker spots are fading and my skin is looking much more smooth.
Vichy Idealia Eye Contour and BB
Idéalia Eyes

The Eye Contour Idealizer has the most indigenous applicator. It is clear and flexible and allows for you to place just the right amount directly on your eye area.
Vichy Idealia Eye Contour Applicator
The formulation is that of a very light cream with a faint iridescence to it. This helps reflect light and make the area look fresher and diminish the look of under-eye circles.
Vichy Idealia Eye Contour Applicator
I love that it isn't a heavy eye cream, it is almost like a gel-lotion hybrid that lends it self very well to day time wear and use under concealer. As for the light reflecting properties, they are subtle but effective. I am always weary of these things making me look glittery (Smashbox Photo Op Eye Brighter, I'm looking at you, you made me look like a disco ball) but it manages to be just the right amount of super fine illumination that makes you look good without being noticeable to others.
Vichy Idealia BB and Eye Contour Swatch
BB left, Eye right.
Finally the proof is in the pictures right? So, here I am wearing nothing but these two products.

Have you tried any of Vichy Idealia products yet? What do you think of them?

*I received this product for consideration, it does not influence my views on them.
