Keeping My Skin Hydrated Thanks To Deciem

A little while back I attended the Deciem Distillery District Pro Artist Shopping Event, celebrating the locations opening, today I wanted to review a few of the items I purchased at the event.
If you have dry skin, reactive skin, or heck skin in general, Hylamide might just be the line from Deciem for you. I reviewed a few items a few years back and fell in love with them, and I must say I am still smitten with the brand.

Hylamide's overall focus is hydrating your skin through all its layers. Deep, middle and top hydration. It is a pretty simple concept, but also one many can't pull off, Hylamide does though and very well too.

Hylamide: Hydra-Density Mist (120 ml /  $18.00 Cad)
This is a spray that sort of works as a toner. It is pretty simple, spray it on your face after you wash but before the rest of your routine.

It features Marine Exopolysaccharides with Glucuronic Acid, which focuses hydration density (it happens to have a better water retaining ability then hyaluronic acid) making it provide instant and long deep hydration without the need for oil. It also has purified Green Tea Polyphenols and Golden Eye Grass Root, which help sooth skin and helps reduce irritations. Finally it has Tasmanian Pepperberry, which sounds odd but helps with redness and calming the skin.

So pretty much this stuff is better then hyaluronic acid and hydrates your skin deep down while soothing it. So yeah my reactive skin has been loving it.

Ingredents: aqua (water), rosa damascena flower water, epigallocatechin gallatyl glucoside, tasmannia lanceolate fruit/ leaf extract, curculigo orchioides root extract, pseudoalteromonas exopolysaccharides, gallyl glucoside, arginine, propanediol, glycerin, sodium salicylate, citric acid, propyl gallate, trisodium ethylenediamine disuccinate, gellan gum, peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil, ppg-26-buteth-26, sodium chloride, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, benzyl alcohol, dehydroacetic acid, phenoxyethanol, chlorphenesin.
The Chemistry Brand seems to be where Deciem puts its body products. Their Hyaluronic Body Mist probably would be a Hylamide product if it weren't in this category.

I probably would have never in a million years have bought this spray if I had not gone into the store and tried it out. I of course fell so in love with it I had to get a bottle.

It is spray bottle that seems to be a clear bottle that looks aerosol (but isn't, but it is still continuous like an aerosol), that sprays a clear liquid in a nice fine mist. Now usually something clear and not milky for a body lotion is going to freak me out. See my skin gets chapped like no ones business come the winter from all the dog grooming I do during the holidays, and water, any type of water burns, oh it burns. So year I usually like oils and really thick creams, not a clear spray. That being said it felt so amazing on my skin I just wanted more of it.

I fully think the hyaluronic acid is the reason it feels so amazing on the skin. The low-molecular weight Hyluronic Acid helps hydrate though multi levels of skin and helps maintain that hydration thought the day.

UPDATE:  So a few weeks after I posted this the body mist stopped working. I emailed deceit and they said I needed a receipt and I would have 365 days for an exchange. I ended up holding on to it until this past week where I finally got to a store. I learned it had just been taken off the market the week before due to there being an issue where they just stop spraying (what happened to me). The nice folks at Deciem let me exchange it for another Hand Chemistry item. It all worked out ok.

Ingredients: water (aqua) • sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer • saccharide isomerate • ppg-26-buteth-26 • ahnfeltia concinna extract • peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil • pentylene glycol • glycerin • ethylhexylglycerin • citric acid • sodium citrate • hexylene glycol • caprylyl glycol • chlorphenesin • phenoxyethanol • fragrance (parfum) • citral • citronellol • limonene • linalool

So there you go, two of the products I have been trying out that I really love. I will definitely be repurchasing both when I run out of them.

Have you tried anything from Deciem that you just love?
