Mary Kay Christmas in October

by - Wednesday, October 12, 2016

Are you the type that likes to get a head start on the holidays? Well Mary Kay is thinking a head with their latest promo Christmas in October, and to be honest I think they have the right idea. Every year Christmas comes along and I have no time to do anything, so getting stuff done and bought now is the best plan of attack for me.
White Tea & Citrus Satin Hands Pampering Set & Fragrance-Free Satin Hands Pampering Set ($51.00 each set)
The Satin Hands Pampering Sets are a cult classic when it comes to Mary Kay. I remember my mom treating my hands to it when I was ten years old and I have loved it ever since. My hands are the dries and most chap things on earth come the holiday season, they usually end up bleeding. The area right between my fingers gets flakey and thick. Since this all happens and there seems to be nothing I can do to prevent it, I love the Satin Hands sets to help clear it up and keep my hands smooth.
The White Tea & Citrus Set comes with:
  • Fragrance-Free Protecting Softener
    • Moisturize and protect skin, preparing hands for a stimulating.
  • White Tea & Citrus Refining Shea Scrub
    • Blended with luscious shea butter to instantly reveal noticeably smoother-looking skin as it buffs away dirt and impurities and leaves hands feeling softer.
  • White Tea & Citrus Nourishing Shea Cream
    • Shea butter-infused cream instantly melts into skin and leaves hands feeling soft and noticeably smoother even after washing.
    • Absorbs quickly, so hands won’t feel sticky, and it leaves a protective barrier on skin for long-lasting softness.
While the Fragrance-Free Set is the same but without any added fragrance to it.
This really is a must have for me during the fall and winter months. I love how sleek and cute the new holiday sets look this year (really sophisticated).
While I must admit am a rabid fan of the original Peach version of the Satin Hands set, I really like that they are offering a new scent for the holidays. The White Tea and Citrus smells light, a bit more complex and more appropriate for the colder weather. I will probably be using the unscented the most since my skin gets hyper sensitive to all fragrances as the holidays approach (I joke it is groomer hands, but it just seems to really be me).
I also love the improvement to the formulas. The lotion is much less watery for me which means it is it absorbs faster and helps deal with my chap skin more efficiently. The scrub seems gentler too. What isn't to love?
Limited-Edition Mini Eye Brush Set ($20.00)
If you travel to visit family during the holidays this may be the best item for you. It is a set of three mini brushes that are super soft and they come in their own little pouch that really is sturdy (I am not afraid of breaking it).

You get three eye brushes:
  • Eyeliner
  • Eye Colour
  • Eyesmudger
I am definitely in love with this mini set, I may get my one sister in law one of these since she has the oldest and rattiest brushes I have ever seen.

Limited-Edition Be Delighted  Body Wash and Body Mousse Gift Set ($36.00) & Limited-Edition Be Delighted Shimmer Mist ($18.00)
Cute holiday themed boxes, check. Fantastic scent, check.

These products all smell sweet and holiday festive like, almost like candy but not that sweet. If you're a fan of Bath and Body Works Sugar Plumb but find it is just too sweet, you should love this scent.

The Body Mousse is so rich and thick but absorbs super fast without any grease. I have been using it on my legs and arms for the last week and feel so incredibly soft, plus the hubby loves the scent.

The Body Wash smells just as good and is in a great formal that I find leaves my skin nice and clean as well as soft.
This Body Wash and Body Mousse come to gather in a  little set with a cute little matching clear bag (I did not take pictures of it, sorry) with dots all over it just like the product's packaging.

There also is a Shimmering Body Mist that is sold alone, it smells so amazing on the skin after a shower or bath. I am not one for shimmer or glitter on my body, but I decided to try this out and actually really liked that it wasn't over the top shimmer. I probably won't be using it too much though because of my aversion to glitter on my body.
I do think the Body Wash and Body Mousse Gift Set will make for a great gift this holiday season and may be getting my mother one as she is always hinting at me she needs more body stuff.
Overall I really like these items for holiday gifts, easy give and incredibly safe bets. I know so many people who love bath and body goodies that this just screams their names. I think I love the new formulas and packaging for the Satin Hands Pampering Sets the most, they look great and work even better then before.

Do you like to get a head start on your holiday shopping too? Are there any beauty gifts you just have to buy someone on your list every year?
