When Revlon asked me to try out their ColorSilk hair colour I jumped at the chance. I've been an avid at home hair colourer since 1991 and as far as I can remember I don't think I've ever uesed a box by Revlon. So of course I couldn't wait to try it out. I chose Deep Mahogany (32).

Pros:
  • Easy to find (mass retailers)
  • Cheap (retails for $8.99 or less)
  • Covers grey
  • Even color
  • Ammonia-free
Cons:
  • Smaller pack of conditioner (but you are paying much less, so I don't see it as a real con)
Overall:
I was extremely impressed with the colour I got from this box. Even, deep, rich! My hair was left feeling great and I got tons of complements, it seems to be the perfect fall shade for me. It covered my troublesome greys (seriously I'm about 20% grey already).
I love that it is roughly half the price of other box dyes out there, I've seen it on shelves for $6.99 while other brands are $15.99, sometimes more. Of course for that price you are sacrificing a big tube of conditioner, but I really couldn't care less for the price and quality of the dye. I mean I am not buying the dye for the conditioner (that being said for $15 I better be getting a big tube of conditioner in my box).

I will definitely be using Revlon ColorSilk in the future.
