Cargo Triple Action Mascara Review

by - Thursday, June 17, 2010

Recently I was sent a tube of Cargo's new Triple Action Mascara to review. It has a curling, lengthening, and thickening formula to it as well as a molded brush. I must say that I was blown away with every aspect of the product.

The Brush: First thing I noticed was that the brush was the exact same as my much beloved Avon SuperExtend Mascara's wand. This made me very happy since it is by far the best molded or plastic brush I have tried so far (read my review of Avon's SuperExtend Mascara here). I find this brush in particular doesn't get too much product on it and separates really well, there is little chance of clumping or over application of the mascara with it. It also makes it easy to get right into the inner corner of the eyes, and right into the base of the lashes and without jabbing yourself with anything jagged (unlike the L'oreal Telescopic Explosion mascara wand that is so pointy and dangerous to use). I really am in love with this brush. Below is a photo of the brush, the top is Cargo's the bottom Avon's...see the exact same.

Curling Claim: I have always been skeptical of curling mascaras, I never really thought that they worked well and were not really worth the time or effort. This mascara blew me a way for the curling! I put it on the first time and didn't really pay attention to wether or not it curled my lashes, but when I later looked in the mirror all I saw were perfectly curled lashes. I LOVE how well it curled and how nicely it looked.

Thickening Claim: This mascara certinly does thicken the lashes a lot, I love how full and tick my lashes looked after just one swipe of it, after two swipes my lashes looked even better.

Lengthening Claims: Well I must say this mascara sold me on that one too. THis brush is great for lengthening without clumping and the formula just made it even better.
Often I apply a lengthing mascara followed by a thicking one to get a full and long effect on my lashes, this this one tube I elemate all that and the need for a lash curler.

Additional Points:

  • A revolutionary, flexible film coats, extends and curls, for longer, thicker and fuller-looking lashes
  • A moisture retention barrier locks in essential vitamins and conditioners that promote healthy lashes
  • A fixing film creates a long-lasting, rub-resistant barrier that won’t smudge
  • Jet black pigment makes lashes look visibly defined
  • Free of parabens, alcohol and fragrance
  • Made in Canada
  • Available in the Fall.

Overall:
This is a great all in one mascara, if you often use a lengthening and a thickening mascara this would be worth a try. If you hate using a curler or just love curling mascaras this is also a great try. My lashes love this stuff and so do I! This is my new go to non-waterpoof mascara! I love it I wish I could wear it on workdays (but I need crazy waterproofness, most waterproofs don't cut it).
