Canadian Pride Part Three

Once again I am going to be covering the wonderful world of Canadian Cosmetics.

Vasanti - I remember when I used to live across the street from Fairview mall in Toronto I would often pop into a small Vasanti store, from those humble beginnings they have now grown to be inside many side so many Shopper's Drug Marts and PharmaPlus/Rexall locations as well as stores in the USA and the UK. It is great to have seen this company blossom into it current glory.
From sheer to full coverage, light colours to bold pigments, this company has mastered it all and for every skin tone  (something many other companies tend to neglect).
Favorites
  • Right now they have an awesome 'Go Canada' palette. With obvious Olympic influences, this neat palette has gold, silver, bronze eyeshadows and in our Proud flags colours a white highlighter and a red sheer lip tint. A great way to show your Canadian pride during the games or all year round.

Yaby - This brand makes great palettes! Created in Toronto by Liz Yu, who like many makeup artist was faced with a clutter situation. So she created Yaby as a solution, compact and convent palettes that feature customizable options such as blush, lipstick, eyeshadow, brown powders and cake-liners. The eyeshadows are tiny, but that just gives you more room for more shades. With palettes that can come in one type or many (just eyeshadows or blushes) or combinations of different products, these are very convent for weekends aways, vacations, a gym bag or a makeup kit.
