I love Canada, so all this week is Canadiana week here at Batting A Lash.

Recently I went to my Rexall and got some lip goodies (see them here).
Rimmel is one of my favourite lipstick brands. I love the colour choices and how pigmented they are.

I picked up two very contrasting lip shades in lipstick.....Nude Delight (700) and Funtime Fushia (320).

They go on great and are very pigmented while leaving my lips feeling nice. I also noticed they yet again changed their lipstick packaging, I like it, but I liked the two other version too.
I picked up two Stay Glossys in Black Diva (480) and  Fushia Fever (360). These glosses have a doe foot. They are extremely pigmented and don't even really need lipsticks under them. I don't find them sticky at all.
I got Mac's Glimmerglass in Blackware last September,so I thought it would be great to compare Black Diva to it.

Blackware is actually has a bit more grey to it than the Black Diva. It is also a thiner. Black Diva is actually a better gloss! Shocked? I am.

Both the Fushia lipstick and gloss are gorgeous, I love them both. I realized though the gloss doesn't even need a lipstick under it, it is sooooo opaque.

Over all I still love Rimmel for the lips! The glosses are soooo thick but not sticky, so opaque that they cover the lips completely. The lipsticks are great too, great colours, coverage and texture. I love Rimmel

I have enjoyed and hated mineral foundations for quite some while. I have issues with my skin being just too dry for it to work on even the best of days. Recently though, I've begun to enjoy mineral makeup on my lips.


I first ordered an Avon Smooth Minerals Lipstick late last year in Apricot Glow and have loved it so much that I proceeded to get another one in the new colour Island Glow. While Island Glow was not the colour I thought it would be (more peachy in the pic) I did end up with a great neutral colour that is reminiscent to Mac's Viva Glam II.
The Avon Lipsticks look great on the lips and moisturize with Shea butter and have quite a sturdy packaging with the name emboss detail on the lipstick itself. It also has an SPF of 15

I also have been enjoying mineral lipgloss from ELF's mineral line called Au Natural. The container is a dupe for Mac's Lipglass packaging. I found that this colour turned out to be a perfect gloss match for the Avon Island Glow so I often wear the two of them together for a great effect. Day to day this is my neutral lip colour combo. Smooth, not gritty or sticky, actually probably the least sticky gloss I've tried in a long time. I also love that it isn't sheer, it is quite opaque.

I am more that pleasantly surprised with how much I've ended up loving these mineral products.
Overall : I'm already planning on ordering more of the Elf glosses with my next order as well I want to check out some of their pretty mineral lipsticks. As for the Avon, I will definitly be grabbbing more of these babbies d
