Viva La Juicy Bowdacious:
Cheeky, playful and forever fantastic. Viva La Juicy Bowdacious invites you into a world of luxe, pink, over-the-top fantasy wrapped in a big pink bow! A fragrance that splashes notes of Italian mandarin, Williams pear and honeydew with the solar vibrancy of the tiare flower, ending with the warm, creamy addiction of tonka bean and coconut milk. -juicycouturebeauty.com
Bowdacious comes in a bottle that looks a lot like other Viva La Juicy fragrances, rectangular with a version of their rope crest on it. What makes it unique is the big pink metal bow on the lid and smaller ones on each side of the bottle. There is also a pink trim along the bottom of the bottle that connects to the smaller bows. It is bright, it is flashy but it also is super cute.
On to the notes.
Top Notes: Willliams Pear, Honeydew, Italian Mandarin
Middle Notes: Tiare Flower NP, Ginger Lily, Jasmine Sambac
Base Notes: Coconut Milk, Driftwood, Tonka Wood

For the scent, the first thing that hits me is the coconut. It smells like real coconut, fresh and tropical. Then once it settles in, I can smell the fruity blend of pear, honeydew and mandarin mixed together. Finally, I catch the floral notes.

Overall the scent is fresh and a great mix of tropical, fruity and floral that is fresh and fruity all at once. I really enjoy scents like this, they are fun but more complex and mature than a lot of other scents like it (in other words, it is more complex and mature than the other fun scents from my youth).
Oui Juicy Couture
This vibrantly rich women's perfume will have you saying Oui! to a burst of nostalgic pops providing mouthwatering freshness. Whether you're looking for your new signature scent or the perfect gift, Oui Juicy Couture will captivate and fascinate with its exclusive fragrance. -juicycouturebeauty.com
Oui comes in a fantastic bottle that has a red square with a pink square stacked on top of it in the style of a classic perfume decanter design. It also features a dangling charm that bears the perfumes name that hangs from a metal decorative disc. I have a 100ml bottle, so it is a bit larger, but the bottle still feels quite substantial and sturdy.

Let's talk scent now. Here are the notes.
Top Notes: Watermelon, Acai Tea Natureprint, Pear Infusion
Middle Notes: Jasmine Absolute, Wild Tuberose, Dewy Honeysuckle Natureprint
Base Notes: Techno Woods, Amber Resins, Captive Musks

This scent is definitely more mature than the Bowdacous or any of the Viva La Juicy scents I have previously smelt (which is most likely why it isn't a Viva La Juicy scent). That being said it also isn't too mature, it is a great blend of floral and fruit that is just complex enough, making it a great scent for anyone looking for something fruity but a bit more or something floral but with a hint of fruit to it.

It has a crisp fruity and floral scent that lingers all day while not being over the top. The watermelon gives it a nice fruity summer lightness while the tea and florals make it more complex and intriguing. I have a hard time differentiating within it, it just smells like a really nice blend. All I know is that I really like it.

Overall I really am enjoying both Oui and Bowdacious, they are fun and really suit my perfume styles while being completely different. Bowdacious suits my more fun and fruity days while still being complex and bit more age-appropriate for me. While Oui is a bit more floral while still retaining a fruity essence to it, all the while being a scent I have no problem wearing day in and day out.

Cherry blossom season may have just ended here in Toronto, but that doesn't mean you have to let the fragment scent of cherry blossoms fade too. Calgon and Bodycolgoy both have bath and body lines that feature Cherry Blossom fragrances.

Calgon's Japanese Cherry Blossom line has a body wash, bubble bath, body lotion and fragrance mist.

Bodycology's Cherish the Moment line has a body wash, body lotion, bath fizzes and fragrance mist.

Both brands offer a great Cherry Blossom scent, while being different at the same time. Bodycology's scent is more floral, while Calgon's is more fruity. Either way I love both of theirs fresh cherry blossom scent.
Calgon Japanese Cherry Blossom Bubble Bath ($5.99):
Calgon always gets bubble bath perfect every time. Rich and plentiful bubbles that make your tub smell great and at a great price. Japaneses Cherry Blossom is no different, you get a tub full of great bubbles and for about $5 you really can't get it too wrong. I really adore a relaxing bath, so I have been enjoying this bubble bath quite a bit recently.

Calgon Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Spray ($7.99):
I love this spray. It is light and fresh, slightly fruity and lingers just right. I have no issues spraying this all over everything, my clothes, hair, body. It is light and refreshing just about anytime of day I want a bit of pickle up, while not being heavy now that the warm weather is here.

Bodycology Cherry Blossom Bath Fizzies  ($6.97):
I love bath bombs but honestly I cannot stand to pay $5+ for just one bath. I live is fear that it will be too cold of a bath and I will have just wasted it, or that I will get board and want to get out after 5 minutes. This clearly is crazy since I run super hot baths and linger in them until I fall asleep and wake up 20 minutes later. Still that fear lingers, so I never want to invest that much in one bath. Bodycology's bath fizzies are so affordable I never feel bad about using them. They fizz up amazingly well and smell great. They come in a resealable bag, but are also individually wrapped, which makes storing them and not accidentally getting water on them so much easier.

Bodycology Cherish The Moment Cherry Blossom Body Spray ($6.97):
I love this spray. It is a bit more complex then the Calgon version, but stays pretty floral in the process. It is light and refreshing and instantly brings me back to cherry blossom season. I find it nice an light during the summer months, so it is getting lots of use right now.

Overall I am loving these products. Cherry blossom is a fantastic spring and summer scent, not too strong not too floral but just light and fresh. I love keeping that scent going even though the season is over with baths filled with bubbles or fizz and body sprays.

I am a big fan of vanilla, I find there nothing plain or boring about it. Did you know vanilla is the second most expensive spice (saffron is number one)? Did you know vanilla comes from the fruit of vanilla orchids? Regardless I love it and its scent is a warm welcome in my routine.

Bodycolgy's Creamy Vanilla line has a vanilla scent that is rich and warm. It is a great option for the summer months because I find it not too heavy but at the same time a bit more sophisticated and floral then regular vanilla.

Moisturizing Body Wash:

This was is so creamy and rich, it creates an incredible lather that I actually had to cut back on the amount I was using because it was just so much. I feel since it is a cream body wash it helps keep my skin extra hydrated and certainly doesn't strip its moisture at all. Bonus, made in Canada (the other products in the USA).

Moisturizing Body Cream:
I like creams more then I like lotions, my skin is just so darn dry it needs the extra hydration. Bodycology's Moisturizing Body Cream is rich and luxurious while not being greasy at all. It absorbs relatively quickly while making my skin feel enrobed in moisturizer that lasts. All this while being in a convenient tube. Most lotions or creams that come in tubes tend to be watery and take a long time to absorb on my skin, so this is a complete win win for me. It has Shea, Cocoa and Jojoba butters blended into it to help give it that richness.

Fragrance Mist:

This fragrance mist is my new favourite addition to my morning routine. As a fragrance mist it doesn't last as long as a perfume but alas it is fragrance mist and that is how they work. I find that if I apply it after the body wash and lotion it adds another layer to scent and extends its longevity. I personally love to refresh with it before I leave for work or after the gym, I also spray my clothes with it and in my hair if I feel it isn't as great as it was when first washed.

I am loving this collection for my day to day skin care needs. The body wash is rich and creates a crazy lather, the lotion is rich and nourishing and the fragrance mist makes me smell great. They also are really inexpensive (retailing at $6.97), making me question ever going to and paying crazy prices for other brands again.

Bodycology's Creamy Vanilla line is available at Walmart and retails for $6.97.

When I think of Demeter I think of fun fragrances that smell exactly like what their unique names say they are (Rain, actually smells like rain). What is better then all the fun and unique scents that they already offer? How about custom blending kits? If you're like me this may have just peeked your interest.

I am often that person who puts on a body spray and then a completely different perfume to create my own blend, so Demeter's Foolproof Blending Tool Kit really spoke to me.
The kit consists of an Empty bottle with a blank label on it, a lid and pump, 6 eyedroppers, a funnel, and a lot of fragrance testing strips. The idea is that you pick three scents you like and blend them together to make your own signature scent. You can try layering on yourself or on the strips until you get it just right. Then just use the eyedroppers to move the scents into your own bottle. You can make as little or as much as you like and continue to refill the bottle to your hearts content.

I got to choose my scents from their Classic Catalog (Baby Powder, Pure Soap, Sunshine, Gin & Tonic, Laundromat, Clean Skin, Wet Garden, Salt Air, Lavender and Jasmine) and ultimately chosen Sunshine, Salt Air and Clean Skin. I was aiming for a really fresh and clean scent and with these three by my side I knew I could get it just right.

So how did I go about getting my custom scent down just right? First sprayed each one around pointlessly to get the idea of the scents. Then my co-workers started to do the same. Then I had no clue what anything smelt like anymore and put a stop to all the madness, boxed it up and took it home.

Once at home I could control things and smell again I decided that Clean Skin was the most bold smelling of all of them and the most 'perfumy' while still being clean clean clean. I also decided that Sunshine and Salt Air were about the same in strength and I liked them both equally. This is where I started to just spray strips. I decided at this point that a 2:2:1 ratio of sunshine:salt air:clean skin is what I wanted for my own blend.

Using the eyedroppers I added 12 of each the Sunshine and Salt Air scents and 6 of the Clean Skin, closed the lid, shook it up and sprayed it right on my skin and fell in love.

Now the only thing left to do was to name my custom scent, I chose Sun by the Sea. I love that I got the change to write my own custom label, it's fun to come up with something as unique as you scent, but I'm just not that creative.
Overall I had a fun time creating my own scent. It was exactly what I had wanted, fresh and clean without being one bit heavy. I chose not to make too much of my scent so that I could adjust it in the fall or winter if I wanted to and also so that I can enjoy the individual scents on their own whenever I want too.
One of the joys of Demeter's fragrance library is the vastness of it. I highly recommend you look at their site and take a peek at some of their unique and spot on fragrances. They do sell trios and duos for customizing , but you can always just mix whatever you want together to make your perfect scent. I really enjoyed this process and would love to make some more in the near future (Mahogany, Mountain Air and Thunderstorm sound like a great mix to me).
Thanks to Demeter and the Canadian Beauty Blogger network for arranging for me to try this kit out. Read more reviews from Canadian Beauty Blogger right here.

Seems like yesterday that I got a little bottle of Givenchy Very Irrésisitble as a gift, at the time I was flooded with gorgeous images of Liv Tyler in ads for it. The perfect fragrance can make our great rooms even greater. Glade® Wax Melts Warmers fill even the largest rooms with fragrance with a stylish, electric table-top warming dish. Available in a wide variety of your favorite Glade® scents, Glade® Wax Melt cubes deliver up to 96 hours of fragrance per pack. -glade.com
I am a huge fan of candles and wax or oil burners, pretty much anything that will help make my home smell great. Unfortunately I sometimes forget to put out the candles involved, this of course is a huge no-no. Since I started this habit I have been looking into flawless wax warmers, lucky for me Glade just brought theirs to Canada.

Thanks to Canadian Daily Deals I managed to find some coupons recently in my newspaper and scored big time on my warmer and wax.

My local store had 6 scents, but only the Apple Cinnamon appealed to me.

I definitely like the melter. I like that it doesn't need a light bulb, and that the plate is removable for cleaning. Plus, I think it looks quite nice. I have heard (but I am not sure) that you can put a candle on it and use it as a candle warmer (all the scent of a candle but no dangerous flame).

As for the wax, I really like the fall scent I chose, the apple and cinnamon make my place smell amazing and they seem to last a very long time. If the 96 hour claim is true is another story, any way the price is good and I can surly use other waxes in it if I do not end up loving them ( I personally love putting the last bits of candles into melters).
