Live Clean is one of my faourite brands. It is made with ingredients that work well for me, they smell great and they are made in Canada! When I learned they launched a dry shampoo I got really excited because I just had to see what they had planned.

  • Enriched with Certified Organic Botanicals
  • For all hair types
  • No silicone
  • Eco-conscious
  • No white residue
  • 99% plant derived
  • Scalp-friendly
  • Leaping Bunny Certified
  • Dermatologist Tested
  • Hypoallergenic

Live Clean Dry Mist Shampoos come in four options, Fresh & Clean, Tropical Coconut, Lightly Scented and Salon Volume.

First off I want to stress that this actually isn't a dry shampoo, it is a Dry Mist Shampoo, meaning it comes out a bit damp and then dries up. Part of the reason for this is because it is aerosol free. It uses oxygen to propel it. Thus it kind of cascades out versus a strong pooooofff like traditional dry shampoo sprays.
It doesn't contain powders to cause build up on the hair or scalp, making it scalp friendly. Instead it uses Arrowroot powder, Nettle and Witch Hazel to help control oil and cleanse the scalp without needing a wash.

So how do I like it? It is just different. I think that is the big thing to wrap your mind around. I don't have the same expectations, because it isn't the same.  I really enjoy the Salon Volume version because it is gives the most traditional dry shampoo results to me. I adore the scent of both the Tropical Coconut and Fresh & Clean (my faourite for anything Live Clean).
Overall it is a nice change from traditional dry shampoos in the fact it is more scalp, hair and earth friendly. But if you are going in expecting a Dry Mist Shampoo to equal a Dry Shampoo you may be disappointed. I find it really does help me extend the length of time between my hair washing a few days and all without any white residue on my hair, which I really adore.

You can pick up Live Clean Dry Mist Shampoos at your local Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws, Real Canadian Super Store, and Well.ca

Have you tried Live Clean Dry Mist Shampoo yet? What do you think of it?

Today I take a look at new products from FarleyCo that you can find at your favourite drug store and mass retailers.
7thHeaven Silver Easy Peel Off Mask
Get skin gleaming with this delightful metallic silver easy peel-off mask. Provides a helping hand at purifying and deeply cleansing pores to banish dirt and peel away dull, dead skin.
Helps to minimize the appearance of pores and fast-tracks your way to smooth, toned skin.
Key Ingredients: Orchid, Frankincense, Smithsonite
The Silver Peel-Off mask provides a 'Deep Micro Cleanse' and is best for Normal, Combo and Oily skin. The mask is supposed to purify, tone and tighten your skin.

My skin dry with some oily patches making it a combo but only in the summertime, which means this is a great summer mask for me.

The Smithsonite in it really makes it silver when applied and dried, which is super fun. I found the mask easy to peel off and my skin super soft after using it.
7thHeaven Rose Gold Easy Peel Off Mask
Say hello to a rosy glow with our metallic rose gold easy peel off mask. A precious blend of ingredients to help perk up a dull complexion in a flash! This selfie-ready mask helps to minimise the appearance of pores, tone and purify the skin.
Key Ingredients: Damask Rose Water, White Tea, Moonstone
The Rose Gold Peel Off mask is supposed to 'Balance and Nourish' your skin and is best for Normal, Combo and Dry skin.

Since my skin is mainly dry this is great all year round but especially good in the colder months for me.

Once again, this one looks just like the metal in its name. Rose gold is so pretty, it looks like a liquid highlighter accident, but in a fun way. I love roses in my skin care, my skin just reacts so well to it and this mask is no exception. I love how soft and healthy my skin felt after using it.
Both masks are really neat because they actually contain ground up gemstones and have a fantastic metallic look to them. I always love a good peel-off mask because you get that satisfaction when peeling it off
COLABOriginal Sheer Invisible Dry Shampoo (200mL)
COLAB's Original fragrance Dry Shampoo gives hair an instant wow-factor with a 'Too cool for School' vibe and an effortlessly cool, bergamot and rose scent. Slay All Day!
Keep that clean hair feel for longer & instantly revitalise your look with COLAB's Sheer & Invisible dry shampoo.  Weightless & Invisible, it's perfect for all hair types that need an instant boost.
COLAB Invisible Dry Shampoo - Amazing oil absorbtion without white residue.
COLAB has quickly become my dry shampoo of choice. I have written about them in the past. It works so well, it never leaves a white cast or dullness on my dark hair all while leaving it feeling clean and light. It especially was great when my hair was short and I could not pull it back on my 3rd day without a wash day.
This here is the original formula and scent. The scent is Bergamont, Rose and Magnolia. It isn't too strong or overwhelming, but it is really nice.

Basically if you want a good dry shampoo that leaves no white residue on your hair, leaves your hair clean and fluffy and smells nice you need to buy this. I cannot stress this enough, this is the best dry shampoo out there.
BubbleT Moroccan Mint Tea Hand Wash
Bubble T's refreshing Moroccan Mint Tea hand wash is a bathroom essential. A splash of colour and serious ingredients will soothe skin with fresh mint oil and Goji berry extracts. Packed with the uplifting scents of spearmint and peppermint, this hand wash is about to become your newest bathroom favourite.
Bubble T’s entire bath & body range contains a variety of tea-infused ingredients
I of course am always happy to get a new hand wash to try out, but in 2020, yes, please!  We are just flying through the stuff this year and that isn't a bad thing.

Bubble T's Moroccan Mint Tea Hand Wash is a really nice hand wash that has a light gel-like texture that foams up into a light feeling lather with large bubbles. It rinses clean and leaves no residue on the hands. It smells really nice too, a light minty tea scent but nothing too strong.

I also really like the bottle, it has a great pump that works really well. You get a solid amount of product, not too much or too little, just right.

My bottle is currently living in our main washroom and getting lots of use. I would definitely pick this up next time we run out of soap.
I love... Signature Scents Elderflower Fizz Body Mist
It is time to embrace the rejuvenating spirit of summer with this delightful presse, blending luscious fruits and watery cucumber, with delicate floral interludes. This vibrant fruity accord has opening notes of apple & cucumber, leading to a heart of lemony elderflowers and jasmine to create a beautiful floral freshness.
Freshen up with this beautifully scented Body Mist for long lasting, on the go refreshment. It provides a beautiful burst of long lasting fragrance for up to 4 hours. Formulated with natural fruit extracts they offer a welcome burst of fragrance to help keep you smelling irresistible. A pamper product that is sure to become a handbag essential.
Exclusively Available Instore at Shoppers Drug Mart
I love elderflower in food so naturally, I really wanted to try it out as a scent. In food, it is light, sweet and floral and it is the same in a body mist.

Bodysprays are pretty much all I wear in the summertime. It feels light and isn't too heavy in the warm weather.

It has a lot of fresh and light fragrances in it that really makes it smell like summer. There is cucumber in there as well as apple and even jasmine. All together it makes a scent I just can't place but is so light and summery.

The formula lasts for about half a day on me, which is about par with other body sprays. I really like to add a bit to my hair and clothing so that I smell fresh a little longer into the day.
PerspirexComfort Antiperspirant (25mL)
Perspirex Comfort Extra Effective Antiperspirant is clinically proven to provide extra effective protection against sweat for 2-3 days. The Comfort skin care system contains ingredients that hydrate the skin for extra skin comfort. Apply at night to completely dry, unbroken skin. No need to reapply in the morning.
Fragrance-free. Not tested on animals.
Perspirex has been my go-to antiperspirant for about 6 years now. I absolutely adore the original and how it lasts for 5 days on me even with showering and swimming. This new updated Comfort version is even better. I heard a lot of people were having issues with the original and their skin is sensitive to it. I never had that problem unless I applied it directly after shaving. This new formal seems to have fixed any sensitivity issues people were having, I still don't recommend using it after shaving though.
I like to follow the instructions on the lid and apply at night to clean dry skin. I find it lasts 5 days on me but the bottle says it lasts 2 to 3 on most people.

The summer means hot weather and a simple walk around the block or a day at work can leave me sweating a ton, I feel awful and really start to worry about if I am smelling. When I wear Persirex I don't have that issue at all and I absolutely love that.

In the past when I purchased the original Perspirex in the stores I thought that for an anti-perspiring it was definitely more expensive, but when I realized I only had to use it every 5 days I quickly saw that it wasn't an issue at all.
So there are some new to me items from FarleyCo that I recommend you go check out at your local drug store. I have really enjoyed them and will definitely be repurchasing them as soon as I run out.

Confession time, I don't wash my hair very often. It is part laziness and part being an artificial redhead. Oh and in the summer I have a pool, so I kind of always think to myself, I'll wash my hair after I swim, and then don't swim for two or three days. It is a silly thing, but it is my thing. I recently visited my cousin who was shocked I don't wash my hair daily. I proclaimed my hair would be just too darn dry and damaged if I did, but also my colour would just bleed like mad and that dry shampoo was the key to me not looking a mess all the time. We then discussed the smell of hair and how having nice smelling hair is very important, that's when I told her about my latest dry shampoo obsession, Batiste Dry Shampoo in Cherry. Not only is it that same amazing formula I have been using for years, it also smells amazing.
Right now I am going to demo the difference between two day old hair before Batiste and after.

Before:
After:
I think it makes a big difference and I am loving the new cherry scent.

I love to use this at night, just before bed. What I do is apply some and let it sit while I sleep and I wake up with hair that never got oily while I slept.

Batiste is paraben and sulphate free, vegan friendly and not tested on animals. It retails for $8.99 at most drug stores across Canada.

You want to know what's bad? Colouring your hair dark and being told, don't wash your hair too often', and thinking dry shampoo will help, only to be left with a white dull look to your hair. Ick. Anyone who's ever had dark hair know how frustrating dry shampoo can be. Any one who's ever had dry or coloured treated hair know what a lifesaver it can be. So for me it's a mixed blessing.

I recently discovered colab and feel like all my dry shampoo-dark hair worries are gone. COLAB was created by you tubes Ruth Crilly (A Model Recommends), and to be honest really is just fantastic.

The Sheer Invisible formula gives you hair a good kick of dry shampoo, leaving it light, Fluffy and way less oily, while also giving it a nice shine and remaining invisible. Ahh, such a sense of relief when I discovered this one. My hair looks glossy and shiny without that 'yep it's been 3 days since I washed my hair' look

The Extreme Volume formula is also fantastic, while not 100% invisible it is for more greasy hair and leaves a nice matte texture and a crazy amount of volume. This is one I call on if I really stretched the shampooing one days too many (four, four is usually just too many days for me). Before I could just pull my hair back on those days, not now with short hair it's not an option.

Oh and they smell great, I've tried 2 scents so far and love them. I feel it really ads to the refreshing you hair experience.
So whether I'm just trying to not wash my new dark and purply hair as often like me or really just stretched the whole situation out just a day or two longer then you should, COLAB might just be what you're looking for.

You can Find COLAB at Shoppers Drugmarts or Farleyco.

This is one big empties post. November was a good month for tossing stuff.
Clinique Take the Day Off Eye Makeup Remover: There are two of them here, I got the GWP sized bottles at the Estee Lauder Sale a while back. Would I buy it again? Maybe, it works good for a duo phase remover, but I am currently loving my Almay remover (read review here).
The Body Shop Drops of Youth: I picked up a bunch of these at a 3 for $30 sale at The Body Shop. I really like this serum. Would I buy it again?  Yes, I have a few more bottles and certainly plan on using them up in time.
Bioderma: I picked up this tiny bottle at my Rexall to give it a try. I like it quite a bit. Would I buy it again?  I have a gigantic pump bottle of Marcelle Cleansing Water that I love and want to use it up (read a review that here).
Clinique Toner: I got this GWP sized bottle at the Estee Lauder sale as well. Would I buy it again?  Maybe, I didn't find it fantastic but I didn't dislike either.
Biore Steam Activated Cleanser: I used this in the shower on Sundays for about a year.  I really liked the feeling it gave my face and how clean it felt. Would I buy it again? Probably not, I have so many cleansers and just don't need any more right now.
Equate Facial Cleansing Cloths: I got these just to try, I needed wipes and didn't want to spend a lot. Would I buy it again? Maybe, they worked OK.
A whole bunch of mascaras: OK so it was time to binge toss some mascaras! So the long and short is I liked all of theses, and loved some. They all get my approval.
Essence All About Matt!: This is the second one of mine that shattered. Sigh.Would I buy it again? No! I like it and love the formula, but honestly I never did anything violent to it, never traveled with it, just stayed in my drawer. It is just to fragile.
Essence Stay All Day Liner: This liner dried up on me Would I buy it again?Maybe, it was a good liner.
Makeup Forever HD Blush: This tiny bottle had a big air bubble that made it dry up on me Would I buy it again? Maybe, a full size might be too big for me.
Rimmel Liner: This forest green liner was a favourite of mine, but the lid cracked and the writing is all worn off.  Would I buy it again? I don't think it is made anymore.
Elf Studio Eyebrow Treat and Tame - Treat Half: I love the bow gel part of this but think the growth part dose nothing. Lucky for me the tube I am using right now had some faulty glue, which let this side pop off so I could toss it. Would I buy it again? Not this side, I hate it but I will always love the tame side.
CoverFX Concealer: This shade just never suited me Would I buy it again? Yes, I love CoverFx.
Temptu Concealer Wheel: The case cracked and it is pretty old. Would I buy it again? YES, I just got a new one at IMATS
Elf Studio  Foundation: I really like this foundation, more than I would have ever thought. I am tossing this one because it has started to smell and I got a new one to replace it with Would I buy it again? Yes, I just opened my new one.
Revlon Beyond Natural Concealer and Highlighter: This is so old, I really wanted to use it all up but thought its time had come and I should toss it. Would I buy it again? Yes, but I don't think it is still sold.
Aveeno Positively Radiant Tinted Moisturizer: I got this in a Glossybox, sadly it expired in September, so I only got to use about half of it - and I tell you I really tried to use it up Would I buy it again? No, I liked it and it is well priced but I just didn't love it. I give it a B-.
Various Temptu: So a long time ago I got the S/B set from temptu then two of the full sized (02 and 03). I then  got the moisturizer and the primer. I also got a OCC primer. They all expired and well I got a new S/B set in the summer. Would I buy it again? I bought the S/B set again and I use it for other peoples makeup, I do like it a lot. The primers and moisturizers I would not.
Bath and Body Works Candles: These are small candles. The leaves is so old it is still in a plastic container while the Black Berry is glass. I liked the smells quite a bit. Would I buy it again?  Yes, I have quite a few still.
Crown Brush Cleaner: Would I buy it again? Yes, I just got another one at IMATS.
ELF Studio Lip Primer and Plumper: I have two here. The primer sucked but the plumper was great. I chose to toss them because I stopped using them Would I buy it again? Maybe, I just never used it.
Urban Decay De-Slick: I got this trial size with a gwp bag from Sephora. Would I buy it again?  Maybe, I might try another type of their spray another time.
Rosebud Salve: I thought I tossed this a long time ago.Would I buy it again?  No, it is essentially pink Vaseline.
Diane Lai Lotion: This lotion is for seriously sensitive skin - and works great. I love the airless pump and the light lavender scent. Would I buy it again? Yes! It works great.
Bath and Body Works Wild-berry Dahlia Hand Soap: I got this for a gift last year. Would I buy it again? I like the bbw soaps quite a bit so I would consider buying it next time I need soap.
Bath and Body Works Wild Berry Tulips Body Lotion: I had to toss this, I got it as a gift last holiday season. While I like it the scent was just too strong and lingered all day. While that sounds great it just wasn't a smell I liked enough to do that and it made me queasy after awhile. Would I buy it again?  In another scent yes.
The Body Shop Candied Ginger: This one is old, it was in my stockpile. I believe the scent has been replaced with Ginger Sparkle. Would I buy it again? Yes, I like the smell but definitely don't need any new washes right now.
The Body Shop Monoi Miracle Oil: I like this oil but found it a bit thick. I just wasn't reaching for it anymore so it was tie for it to go Would I buy it again? No, I like the other oils made by them more.
The Body Shop Coconut Milk Body Lotion: This is a spray on lotion, I like it but never find myself using it Would I buy it again?  Nope, I like it but I am for the most part tossing 3/4 of a bottle.
The Body Shop Shea Body Butter: I used this one up completely ! I used it in my purse for my hands most of the last month. Would I buy it again? Yes! I loved this body butter.
Salon Grafix Invisible Dry Shampoo: I used this up finally! Would I buy it again? Maybe, I liked it but didn't love it.
Liz Claiborne Palette: This was a palette that I got ages ago. I never used it much so I am tossing it.  Plus it got pretty sticky with the coating the case had. Would I buy it again? I don't think it is still a real thing, but no.
