Beauty Vixen

Wet n Wild is launching a plethora of new products this spring here in Canada, which is pretty darn exciting. Wet n Wild has been a staple value brand for me and many others for many years.
This new batch of products adds on to some already pretty strong products in their collection.  Today I am going to show you the new items and give you a bit of a low down on them.

Au Natural Eyeshadow
Au Natural has two options, Bare Necessities and Nude Awaking. Each palette has 10 shades and various textures in it (sheer, matte, shimmers). I have Nude Awaking, and while I haven't played with it too much yet, I am pretty darn impressed with it and really like the palette as a whole.
Gel Lip Liner
Wet n' Wild's new liners are retractable and have a gel texture to them. I find they glide on easily and don't skip over my lip scars like traditional liners, which is a rare but fantastic thing.  I definitively plan on hunting some more down as soon as they are in stores.

Photofocus Foundation, Concealer and Pressed Powder
No one wants flashback when having their photos taken. Wet n Wild's new Photofocus line has been tested in 7 different lighting conditions with and without flashes to make sure there is no flashback.
The foundation comes in 20 shades, concealer 6 and the powder 8.
MegaGlo Makeup Stick
These sticks help you just swipe on the colour you're looking for. Whether it's concealer, blush, highlight or contour they have you covered. The contour has 3 shades, concealer 3, blush  3 and 1 for the hightlight. I love the idea of these for travel because they can't leak or spill on you.

Liquid Catsuit Liquid Lipstick
Wet n Wild has liquid lipsticks!!! Not much else to say here. They are inexpensive and pretty darn fantastic (with a cute name to boot). I am loving these so much. They dry matte and last a crazy long time. With 13 shades I have decided I have to get more, Video Vixen is calling this Vixen's name (a lipstick with vixen in name that isn't actually purple, amazing).
MegaGlo Dual-ended Contour Stick
Contour and highlight in one stick is always a good thing. I already have two others similar to this so I cannot wait to do a comparison review. You can get it in light/medium or medium/tan.
PerfectPout Gel Lip Balm
Gel lip balms are always a great addition to any lineup. With a hint of colour and a moisturizing gel texture these balms help keep your lips healthy and happy. They also happen to be fragrance free for those who really don't like scents.
Makeup Remover
This is a bi-phase micellar water for your face. Just shake and then pump it out on to a cotton pad. The lid locks so it wont leak if you take it with you on a trip or to the gym. I love micellar water and pumps, so I really can't say a single thing bad about this one...it is a great idea..
Ultimate Brow Kit
With tweezers, an angled brush, two colours of powder and a wax, this is great palette for brows that you can travel with.
Lash Renegade Mascara
This mascara has a crazy wand with ball tip. It also has a geometric package, which means that you can hold the top and have total control when twisting it. The formula has fibres that boost volume and give length.
MegaGlo Highlight Powder
This new highlighter comes in two shades, Precious Petals and Crown of My Canopy. These highlighters contain pearls and are incredibly illuminating. I am really excited to give them a shot, I happen to have Precious Petals.
The Saving Base
This a a base coat for your nails  that has a 10-in-1 formal, so let's list the 10 things it can help your nails with.  Brightens, strengthens, conceals, moisturizes, protects, fills ridges, smooths, primes, perfects and improves the wear of your nail colour.
So there you go new goodies from Wet n Wild that you will soon be able to find right here in Canada. I am going to run off to play with these and get some reviews going for you guys.

Anything new from Wet n Wild you are interested in trying out?

Recently the cosmetics brand Quo tuned 16; the brand chose to party it up in celebration of the occasion with a swanky party where they showed off their new 2016 collection.
The party had custom manicures, tasty baked treats from Bobbette and Belle as well all of their new collection on display and to play with.
While I wish I could have gotten a manicure (I love and own many Orly by Quo polishes), my nails were split and my hangnails were out of control, so it would have been a waist. They had a great little sign that featured a bunch of designs that you could get done at one of the manicure stations.
Their new lip products impressed me a lot. There are new lip stains (don't think crazy lip stains, think thin and lightly tinted, like Benetint), Refillable lip glosses (amazing idea), lip velours, lipgloss sets, tinted lip balms (they call them lip cocktails), "Colour Overload" lip glosses (full pigment gloss) and finally new lipsticks that have a fantastic hounds-tooth pattern embossed into them(they are so pretty). There is even a clear lip liner, for those days you need to reverse line your lips to prevent feathering.
The Colour Overload Glosses swatched
In the palette department they have launched some exciting stuff. There are two contour kits and two eye-shadow palettes. The brush in the contour kit is worth buying the set for alone, but the set is also really nice (win-win right there).
They are also mono eye-shadows being launched. All of which come in more neutral shades and are really just pretty for any time of day or night.
For the rest of the face there is refillable Cushion Foundation (amazing) and blush cheek sticks

Brow powder in a tube, a custom brow set, super thin automatic brow pencil and brow enchanting double ended pencil.
Blue mascara, mascara primer self curling mascara to you "holy grail" massacre they have your lashes covered.
Liner wise they have both Micro tipped brush tip liquid liners as well as a vinyl liner joining their new line, all under the name "Art Of Lining".

I was lucky enough to get a sweet Goodie Bag from the birthday party; look for reviews on some of the products on the blog in the near future (spoiler alert: I am loving everything).
In the mean time you can check out Quo exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart's across Canada.

L'oreal really did it this time, they spoiled us here in Toronto, big time. At the Trump Hotel in downtown Toronto they held a big holiday bash featuring 80 new items to be launched in the new year. What could be better?
Open bar, check.
Lots of makeup, check.
Hey what is that? Is that....
Chocolate!!!
Yep a Chocolate bar, with takeout containers and a chocolate Louboutin shoe.
Simply amazing, I must say. I mean when you think what would make women happy they had it covered.

On to the party. Lots and lots of my fellow Toronto Beauty Bloggers (TOBB) were there, which always makes for a great time. As well many reps from L'oreal were there to educate us on the new products and to make sure we were having  a good time.

One of the most exciting items of the night were the new Colour Riche Caresse Shine Stain Lipcolours. A stain, a gloss, moisturizing...love. Great packaging too. The best part is in January they will be 12 different shades available.
The Colour Riche Eyeshadow Quads look fantastic in their art deco packing. The range of shades and variety of combinations in these shadows is just spectacular. I cannot wait to give them a try. The worst part is there is going to be 20 quads to choose from and frankly I don't think I should be held responsible for the bill I'm going to rack up.
Just loook at those colours. See the purple and orange one in the back...ohhh ahhh.
Telescopic Shocking Mascara will be out in January as well. Boastin g5 new shades, two being waterproof, so this will be at the top of my list then
Visible Lift Contour Blush promises a healthy and youthful flush by recreating volume and brining the cheek bones back to foucus. Excited to get my hands on some come January.
This one is already available and FREE. The Color Genius app...if you have an iphone or itouch go download it and start having fun now. I hope to talk about it more soon.
In skin care there is just too much to talk about to be honest. The new Ideal Skincare lines focus on 38 hours worth of moisture in the lotions while featuring full spectrum spf protection. The Ideal clean wipes and cleansers help wash away toxins and the day while keeping the skin radiant and healthy.  The complete line will be out in February.

Age Perfect BB Cream delivers and instant glow to perfect the skins appearance and is ideal for mature skin. Also available in February.
Revitalifit Miracle Blur is a fantastic new product that will show you instantly how much it can help with your skin and the appearance of wrinkles. It can be used alone or as a primer.
Men Expert Vitalift is a serum that addressed mens unique issues with hydration and skin care.
Both will be on shelfs in January.
The hair care line has so much to offer in the new year too.
Power Moisture provides the hair with instant moisture to leave hair deeply hydrated, soft and shiny. There is shampoo, conditioner and a mask. I am big fan of the Total Repair 5 Line and was told that while tr5 repairs damaged hair this is more for that dry and crapy hair we tend to get in our Canadian winters. I feel the mask will make its way into my weekly routine when it is launched mid February.
Healthy Look Crme Colours will be out in 28 shades come February with a while new formula.
Elnett Statin Heat Sprays bring the legendary Elnet  hold and super fine mist to a non-aerosol formulation that also protects the hair from heat. These babies will be on the shelves later this month, so keep your eyes open for them.
Thanks to everyone at Cowan and Co and L'oreal for such an amazing night.

Now I will leave you with more gratuitous chocolate pics....
