Vasanti is a brand I have loved and adored for years. For some reason they fell off my radar in the last few years, so when I was asked if I wanted to try out their Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator I jumped at the chance.

Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator
A micro-dermabrasion in a bottle! Our hero product with over 250,000 positive reviews with a 4.5 star rating. Brighten Up! Exfoliator is a physical exfoliator that works like a microdermabrasion treatment and fruit enzymatic exfoliator in one. Formulated with aloe to ensure gentle exfoliation so everyone can use it without irritation. For all skin types. -vasanticosmetics.ca

This version of Brighten Up! (there are a few items in the lineup) happens to be an exfoliator.
Using both enzymes for a chemical exfoliation and micro fine crystals for a physical exfoliation, it helps scuff off dead skin cells and reveal smoother softer skin. Using aloe it helps reduce irritation from the process and helps hydrate the skin.

Ingredients Listing:
Aqua (Water), Aluminum Oxide, Cetyl Alcohol, Decyl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Propanediol, Panthenol, Emulsifying Wax NF, Glyceryl Stearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice, Tocopheryl Acetate, Papain, Parfum, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol.

When I use the mask, I usually wash my face first before massaging it onto my skin for a about a minute.

The instructions on the website also say it can also be used as a face mask. I layered it on thick and sat with it on my face for about ten minutes before scrubbing my face with it and washing it off. It felt a little odd leaving it on, I could definitely feel the acids gently doing their work. I honestly didn't mind it, but prefer using it as just a scrub.

The microdermabrasion is supervised and do a great job at making my skin feel incredibly soft and smooth. I love to use it on my problem areas, which are between my brows, my nose and my forehead. I find it is really effective at getting those flakey areas smooth even in this dry weather.
I don't think the fruit acids do a whole lot if you're not going to leave it on your skin for a while,  but you can easily do that. The microdermabrasion is honestly enough for me to get the results I like from it without the extra time.

Overall, I like this scrub.  I love that it is from a trusted Canadian brand I already know and love. I love that it is super smooth and fine and leaves my skin feeling great without drying it out. Also I love that it also a double duty product, a mask and a scrub even if I don't use it as a mask often.
