Summer 2012: Marcelle

by - Friday, June 29, 2012

Marcelle and Annabelle had their fall launch a few weeks ago, I was luck enough to attend. Even though it was for the fall, the products will be available in July, so let's see what they have to offer.
Marcelle's new shadow quads come in so many shades it is easy to loose count. There will be 9 quads with monochromatic shades inside and 9 with complimentary shades in side. That is 72 shades in total. In a chic black compact with 2 hidden sponge applicators underneath these paraben-free and ophthalmologist tested shadows are just gorgeous .  Suggested retail price $15.95.

Gene Youth Serum
This new addition to the Gene Youth line seems like the most exciting skin care item I have seen in a long long time. It claims to even skin tone, diminishes fine lines and wrinkles and improves your skins elasticity...wow! The way you dispense it is also really neat. Just twist the lid and the dropper is automatically filled to a pressured perfect does, then press the top and watch it come out. It is also a creamy serum that apparently is  a gel that penetrates the deeper layers of the skin for better effectiveness. So neat to play with in the bottle, I really want this one. The fact that it is paraben free adds to my intrigue.
Suggested retail price $42.95
New Age Line
New age is a new line for Marcelle that has three components, a day cream, night cream and eye cream. It holds two patents and took eight years to develop. This one is far to complicated for me to begin to understand but pretty much it is a new anti-wrinkle line that rep lumps the skin, enhances texture and evens out skin tone and corrects redness while oxygenates the cells, which all sounds great to me. Suggested retail price $33.95. These will be in stores this August...so a little longer to wait then the other items.

BB Cream Anti-Agin + SPF 20
This addition to their BB that was launched earlier in the year has the added benefit of UVB protection. It is extremely similar to its original formula and I really loved it.

It claims to have 10-in-1 multi-benifits.
1. Gives the skin a lifted appearance
2. Smoothes fine lines and wrinkles
3. Improves skin tone
4. Offeres immediate and long term hydrating benefits
5. Protects skin from environmental stresses
6. Strengthens the skin
7. Controls shine
8. Soothes and calms dry/damaged skin
9. Reduces the appearance of imperfections
10. Provides anti-dull radiant complexion
+spf 20 (protects skin against UVB rays)
Suggested Retail Price $28.95

BB Cream-to-Powder
This compact holds an amazing cream to powder BB formula that feels amazing on the skin and blends with ease.
Offers 8-in-1 Benfits
1. Evens out skin tone
2. Offers immediate and long-term hydrating benefits
3. Protects from premature aging and environmental stresses
4. Promotes skin regeneration
5. Controls shine
6. Soothes and calms
7. Redices the appearance of imperfections
8. Provides anti-dull radiant complexion

The fact that this is portable and convent for touch ups makes it something I am very curious about. It will come in two shades, light to medium and medium to dark.
Suggested retail price $22.95

Swatching the BB with SPF
Marcelle BB with SPF left and Annabelle BB right
Note the Annabelle is a bit more runny then the Marcelle. Personally I find the constancy and texture almost exactly like the original, I do find it just slightly more liquified.

Thanks for reading.
