Essence Lip Stick and Lip Gloss Swatches

By Saturday, June 09, 2012 , , ,

Essence Lipsticks and Lipglosses are extremely inexpensive products that you can now find at over 500 Shopper's Drug Marts across Canada (as well as in 50 other countries). Since the whole brand is so incredibly inexpensive ($1.99 -$4.99 for anything they make), I thought it was about time to do some swatting and pictures of my lipsticks and glosses from them so I could start using them and do a full review.
yeah I've already used the one a bit, I couldn't help it.

Left to right in all pictures:
55 Coralize Me!, 12 Sparkling Miracle, 59 Creamy Nude, 09 Hottest Pink and 03 Candy Bar.

So first impressions are:
Lipstick
They seem small when I first looked at them then after reading the size (4g) I quickly realized that they are the same size as many other lipsticks I own, if not bigger (ex. L'oreal and Estee Lauder lipsticks are 3.8g, Vasaniti's are 3.5g and Rimmel's are 4g). The colours go on very vibrant and have a nice texture and smell.

LipGloss
These are the Stay With Me Glosses that are supposed to last long, therefore have a thicker texture. Not too sticky for the long lasting factor. They also have a neat want/doefoot I've never seen before but quickly fell in love with. The size and packaging reminds me of Benefit's gloss but I actually like these better. They go on extremely pigmented which is what I look for in a gloss.

Overall:
I am really impressed at the glosses texture and pigmentation. The lipsticks seem amazing too. I cannot wait to give a full review and add these to my lipstick line up.

For the cost it definitely worth checking out!

Notes:
Lipsticks are made in Germany and 4g in size
LipGlosses are made in Poland and 4ml in size
