IMATS Toronto 2010

By Thursday, October 14, 2010 , , ,

The IMATS are just around the corner here in Toronto. This year to be held in a proper convention location and not some horrid hole in the EX or a night club like years past.

New and exciting exhibitors are also coming. NARS, NYX and Stila will all have booths this year for the first time (NARS was in a booth for The Bay last year).

Here are some of the exciting things I am looking forward to:

Temptu:
Always a must for me. I am a huge fan of their S/B line. This year I have added quite a number of foundation to my personal collection so I will not be picking up any S/B for personal use, but I will pick up more of the S/B primer. I want to also try the Invisible Difference Setting Powder and their airbrush moisturizer. Apparently this moisturizer is so light that it even be applied after makeup for touch ups throughout the day.

Crown Brushes:
Oh my Crown. Not much else can be said here but I love Crown. I have ordered from them in the past, but I prefer to pick out my brushes in person, so this is the perfect chance for me. I have a list of about 40 brushes I already want to get. My must haves are a clone of Mac's 217, 214, and 224 brushes.

NYX:
Acording to the layout of the vendors for this event, NYX has by far the biggest table. I want to pick up a bunch of lashes (if they have them), some blushes, lipsticks, glosses, jumbo liners and lip liners. I also love their nail polishes, so grabbing some of them would also be great.

CoverFx:
Coverfx is tempting me to visit their booth and buy the pro kit that you can only get at the IMATS shows. I haven't been doing much makeup on other people lately (and when I do I tend to use Temptu's S/B airbrush foundation) so picking it up seems a little silly. I need to get some foundations and concealer for personal use, so I will be going by there for sure.

Ben Nye:
I am considering picking up some Ben Nye shadows and other products at their booths.

Kryolan:
I do love Kryolan, I think I might not need anything though. But checking them out never hurts.

Naimie's:
I am looking for a large freestyle palette. Naimie's sells lots of pallets so I will definitely be popping in there to see if there is something that catches my eye.
